The next AfricaCom conference will be held in Cape Town, South Africa, from November 18th to 19th.
The conference and exhibition is the foremost event in the African telecommunications calendar. Already in its 11th year, the conference attracts more than 3500 participants and is well established as a unique platform for developing business contacts in the fast-growing African telecoms market.
PROTEI will be attending AfricaCom for the 3rd successive year, presenting products and solutions specially adapted to the African market. Aside from essential products for mobile and fixed networks, this year we will be showcasing our new solutions for virtual operators (MVNO) and service providers.

06.11.2007PROTEI heads to GSM 3G in Cape Town
The penultimate stage of the GSM 3G world exhibition and conference series will be held in Cape Town, South Africa from November 21st to 22nd. Delegates from Europe, North America, Asia and Africa will participate in the conference, where mobile and wireless network operators meet to discuss and shape the future of mobile communications.
PROTEI will be exhibiting its full range of solutions, including products specifically aimed at operators in fast-growing markets, at stand C22 in hall 3 of the Cape Town Convention Centre. Company specialists will be there to provide information about all PROTEI solutions in both of the event's official languages.

15.07.2007Protei presents its solutions in Senegal
Protei participates in the forum of global 3G series GSM West Africa 2007 which will be held on June, 19-20th in Dakar (Republic of Senegal).
In the Green hall of Congress-center in Le Meridien President hotel, stand 26, our experts will demonstrate wide range of solutions including platforms specially targeted to emerging telecom markets like West African market is.
The list of products being presented at the exhibition includes both carrier-class solutions for mobile operators (Roaming Gateway, VAS-solutions, Voice Portal, etc.) and platforms for content-and service-providers (IP-telephony gateways, Call-back platform, Mobile Portal, Voice-SMS solution).
Full information about company activities will be available, and each visitor will have an opportunity to get consultations both in English and French from leading company experts.
Last year's participation in a similar forum was a success for our company and led to conclusion of several partner agreements and contracts on delivery of Protei equipment.

03.05.2007Expocomm 2007, Moscow
PROTEI will be exhibiting at Expocomm 2007 in Moscow, May 14th to 18th. We invite our partners, clients and all NGN and mobile network specialists to visit us at stand 74B01 in pavilion 7, hall 4.
This year we will be exhibiting a complete range of products for mobile operators, including our latest developments - the WiFi/GSM Roaming platform and Home Zone Virtual Number server - along with many others. We will also be demonstrating our products for building NG and access networks, the iMAK equipment range.
On May 16th in pavilion 1, hall A of Expocenter there will be a conference entitled “The Russian Telecom Opportunity”, which will bring together leading Russian telecommunications specialists. PROTEI will be presenting a report, “WiFi-GSM roaming as the epitome of convergence” in the session “What does the mobile and wireless future have in store for us? 3G or WiMax?”.
PROTEI will be conducting a special seminar for exhibition participants entitled “The transition to NGN: Questions and Solutions” in pavilion 7 in the Panorama hall on May 6th from 10am to 1pm. The seminar, which aims to familiarize attendees with solutions for building NG multiservice networks, will include an opening statement from the directors of PROTEI and reports from leading specialists. A buffet lunch will be provided for attendees.

PROTEI continues its active participation in the 3G GSM World forums with an appearance in Tunisia for the 3G North Africa conference and exhibition. Our specialists will be at stand 19 in the hall of Sheraton Tunis Hotel & Towers on the 8th and 9th of November.
One of our innovations at this exhibition will be a system for providing Virtual Home Number services. This allows mobile users to enjoy all the services and advantages of a mobile network at the price of a fixed-line network within a certain area (within the limits of one Cell ID), for example near their house or office.
Subscribers using the service are able to choose the most flexible and convenient tariff, while operators make their service offering more attractive and increase customer loyalty.

26.06.2006PROTEI exhibits at GSM West Africa, Senegal
DAKAR, West Africa - PROTEI participated in the GSM West Africa exhibition and conference (June, 20-21th 2006).
A Dakar (Republic of Senegal) service provider took delivery of an SMS televoting system and equipment for interaction with content providers.
PROTEI's participation at GSM West Africa in 2006 was a continuation of the company's presence in this area. The PROTEI stand featured the most interesting solutions for content and service providers and mobile operators. Information about PROTEI solutions was made available in English and French.
PROTEI systems were adapted to suit the local environment - online GUIs for administration and maintenance in French, remote system administration, unique service access algorithms and the capacity for flexible adaptation to varying performance and functionality requirements.
At its first GSM West Africa conference, PROTEI discussed many completed projects and found a number of business partners for new projects.
26.05.2006PROTEI participates in yearly GSM-forum 3G Russia-2006
On the 6-7th of June in Moscow will take place 4th international conference and exhibition GSM > 3G Russia-2006. PROTEI will become a participant of this the most important event for the Russian mobile area. The stand of our company number 22 will be located in the foyer on the first floor of hotel.
“Mobile solutions” is the priority direction of PROTEI developments, so visitors of our stand can receive all information about the whole range of PROTEI production for the mobile operators. During the exhibition will be carried out presentations of service platforms PROTEI. Using these platforms operators can grant such contemporary mobile services, as Messaging, Intelligent services and VAS, Customer Care and different roaming services.
The novelty of this year became system “Logic Line”, which give to Operator an opportunity of granting new innovative service for private and corporate clients. The user makes public only one telephone number, but receives an analog of multichannel telephone. It makes possible to greatly increase a quantity of serviced calls. For using service “Logic Line” one virtual number from the numbering plan is given to customer. Depending on various conditions and parameters the call, which came to this virtual number, can be forwarded to any other numbers, which the customer assigned to this virtual number. Moreover numbers for forwarding can be the numbers of mobile or fixed networks.
PROTEI solutions for the mobile operators more than five years are used at existing networks in Russia and abroad, and our specialists at the stand will be glad to share with this experience with the visitors of the exhibition and conference.
15.05.06 PROTEI novelties at "Svyaz-Expocomm-2006"
At the ma in Russian telecom event “Expocomm-2006” PROTEI has presented its novelties for mobile operators and equipment for multiservice access networks. Specially for the exhibition PROTEI dated a presentation of the new product line for NGN and held a seminar “Pragmatical strategy of change to NGN”.
The new NGN product line was presented under a trademark “iMAK” and has included the following systems: scalable softswitch, access equipment by analog two-wire lines (FXS, SHDSL, ADSL) for large points of access on the basis of mAccess.MAK and the small-scale solution based on mAccess.MTU.
For mobile operators PROTEI presented new solutions focused on roaming services. The key mobile novelty at “Expocomm-2006” became a platform for granting service “Local Number for Visitors” (LNV). Besides PROTEI presented the updated version of SMSC with number of innovative features ( tariffing of SMS in real time, sender’s location control at SMS registration, etc.).
02.05.06PROTEI participates in the network building of "MegaCom"
PROTEI installed its equipment for the new GSM operator of PROTEI installed its equipment for the new GSM operator of Kyrgyzstan company "BiMoCom Ltd" (trade mark “MegaCom”). PROTEI delivered the complex of service platforms, that includes Prepaid-system and CAMEL Gateway.
The system installed for "MegaCom" is a complex solution realized in common by companies "Peter Service" (billing part) and PROTEI (CAMEL-gateway) and provides a real time convergent billing for 100% subscribers of the network. The system provides CAMEL phase 2 and 3 support that allows carrying out tariffing of incoming and outgoing calls, SMS and GPRS-sessions in real time–mode.
Especially for subscribers who prefer make payment by vouchersds the Operator installed voucher management system. The system provides and opportunity of voucher activation via IVR, USSD and SMS or from call center agent workplace.

PROTEI participated in conference "Devepolment of Russian Telecommunications" and made a report about practical aspects of NGN bulding. This conference took place in Sochi on the 26-28th of April and united the leading specialists of telecoms sphere.
